Why Chimney Liner Condition Matters
The chimney liner is the interior flue that channels combustion gases from your heating appliance to the outside. Damaged, deteriorated, or improperly sized liners can create unsafe venting conditions and accelerate deterioration of the surrounding masonry. ABCC Services has been inspecting and installing chimney liners throughout Greater Boston and Southern New Hampshire for more than 30 years.
When a Liner May Be Needed
A liner inspection or replacement may be appropriate when: the existing liner is cracked, deteriorated, or missing; a new heating appliance is installed that requires a different liner size or type; the chimney is being converted from one fuel type to another; or a home inspection or chimney inspection has identified liner deficiencies.
978-388-0200Stainless Steel Liner Systems
We work with stainless steel liner systems appropriate for the appliance type and fuel being used. Liner sizing and suitability must be determined through inspection and applicable codes. Flexible stainless steel liners can be installed in most existing masonry chimneys without major reconstruction.

We recommend a proper chimney inspection before deciding on liner installation. An inspection identifies the condition of the existing liner, the appliance type and fuel, and the appropriate liner specification. This avoids unnecessary expense and ensures the right liner is selected.
